So your dog hates the vet?! Or their groomer visits?
This course looks at why your dog hates the vet, why they get in such a pickle when they visit their groomer, and how you can turn that around to achieve low stress visits for you both.
If your dog hates the vet or going to the groomer you might find that they:
It doesn’t need to be this way!
Not every dog is going to absolutely love their trips to the vets or groomers if they’ve had strong negative reactions, but there’s lots we can do to help them be more comfortable and be better able to receive necessary treatments.
For many dogs these visits can start to be fun experiences.
Learning to cope gives them skills for other areas of life too!
It’s a great team building experience to tackle this together, alongside professionals who already love dogs and encounter a range of personalities.
My name is Naomi, and I’ve been a Clinical Animal Behaviourist helping dogs and their guardians for over ten years.
Along with my qualifications and memberships that keep me up to date with the latest behavioural knowledge, I’ve adopted lots of dogs with behavioural challenges over the years giving me plenty of opportunity to hone my craft and learn what it’s like to actually live life with dogs with issues!
Max has been one of my biggest challenges, and the vet has been one of his! So if I can take him from barking, lunging and not letting the vet near him, to being able to have his heart listened to and teeth looked at then you can follow in our footsteps, and those of many of my clients!
“Naomi has helped us to have calmer car journeys and we’ve recently even managed a really successful vet appointment where our boy greeted the vet with an excited tail wag and allowed him to do a physical exam. A few months ago, the vet couldn’t even get near him!”
